Did you see this year’s Community Fireworks Show?
The photo above is a stunning capture of the 2018 finale — by legendary Island photographer Pete Saloutos.
Our semi-final funds raised numbers have been tallied and the good news is that we’ve raised more than $25,500; the not-so-good news is that we are still $4,500 short of our expenditures.
What we need is your help to get to the goal of covering the 2018 Fireworks Show expenses so this wonderful tradition can continue on into the future. We don’t want to start next year in the red…
We believe that we had a record number of viewers this year given the crowds on all of the shorelines of Eagle Harbor so please consider making a contribution to the fireworks fund via PayPal or credit card via the methods provided below.
Thank you from the Bainbridge Island Community Fireworks Volunteers!
Now in our 10th year…
Bainbridge Firework’s planning is in full-swing for the 2018 show!
For the last ten years our community has sponsored a pretty amazing 4th of July fireworks show over Eagle Harbor. The funds have been raised entirely from Islanders — to the tune of $30,000 each year. Just neighbors-for-neighbors sharing the costs of a truly spectacular event.
We are at it again for the 2018 extravaganza and we are facing a few challenges this year and for the future. For ten years the fireworks show, and the annual fundraising, has been led by a pair of Fourth-of-July heroes: SCOTT & LAURIE ISENMAN. There are other folks who help out each year — but the challenges and angst of raising such a hefty sum, while coordinating with the City, Ferries, Police, Fire, Yacht Clubs, and waterfront neighbors, have always fallen on the very broad shoulders of the Isenmans.
Scott and Laurie have announced that this is their last year leading the fireworks efforts! So in addition to raising $30,000 in the next month, we also need your input. How can we assure that the annual fireworks show continues? Is there a major sponsor out there? Are there volunteers waiting in the wings to take on the leadership for this neighborly event? Can we put together a committee to learn the ropes this year and take over for 2019? The fireworks show really is a community effort and a lot of fun — but it takes dedication and effort.
Please join me in offering ten years of thankful applause to the Isenmans! And give us some ideas for keeping this alive for the future!!

We greatly appreciate and rely on our past and continuing sponsors for faithfully supporting us year after year. Click here to see our 2017 sponsors.
This community organized event relies on every individual contribution to make this show happen – we do not receive any financial support from the City of Bainbridge Island or Chamber of Commerce – so we also need YOU and your individual contribution, no matter how small. Please consider how much enjoyment our program provides as well as the safety of a public display rather than individual pyrotechnics, and donate accordingly!
This show is made possible by the community for the community!!
